Kwame Arhin
Mr. Arhin is a buy-side investment banker with extensive experience in asset management, fixed income trading and corporate banking. He has had significant experience in the management and administration of over GHS 600 million in pension, retail and private wealth assets. He joined Investiture in 2014 as Chief Investment Officer.
Prior to his current role, he was a Partner at Temple Investments. Kwame previously served as Managing Director, IC Asset Managers and Vice President, Global Markets Group at IC Securities, where he designed the process architecture and business model for the division’s fixed income and FX operations, having started the division. At IC Asset Managers, he helped facilitate the growth of the firm into one of the leading Asset Management and Pension Fund Managers in Ghana. In 2012/2013, he co-led IC Securities’ execution of the NPRA’s $500m TPFA administration mandate.
Prior to his IC Securities experience, Kwame worked as an Assistant Corporate Manager at GCB Bank, where he provided debt solutions to government and quasi-government institutions. Mr. Arhin holds the CFA UK Certificate in Investment Management, an MSc in Investment Analysis (with distinction) from the University of Stirling, Scotland and a BSc Admin (Banking and Finance Honours) from the University of Ghana Business School. He is also certified by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Advisor’s Representative.
Munyaradzi Stephen Charangwa
Stephen Charangwa is a frontier markets-focused portfolio manager currently with Aluwani Capital, an SA based Investment Management firm with USD 4bn Assets under Management (AuM). He was previously a Portfolio Manager, Africa Fixed Income at Momentum Asset Management (SA). Prior to that, he was responsible for managing a pioneering Africa fixed income product, the Quantum Global Africa Opportunities Fund, a $50m sub mandate within Quantum’s $8.5 billion AuM in Switzerland-.
Stephen started his investment career with Silk Invest, London, where he was over time appointed Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income) in 2012. While at Silk Invest, he managed the Silk African Bond Fund. Stephen has a track record of investing in African, hard currency-listed debt securities, and also securities across the Middle East and Frontier Asia.
Stephen graduated with an MSc in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling, Scotland. Prior to that, he completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Project Management from the University of Huddersfield and a BA (Hons) in Management from Leeds University. Stephen is an industry guest lecturer at Cass Business School (London) for undergraduate business students on Frontier Markets. He is also a past winner of the CFA Global University Research Challenge competition, having led the University of Stirling team, to the UK finals. Steve also holds the CFA UK Certificate in Investment Management.
Helena Nkansah
Ms. Nkansah has had a distinguished Banking career spanning 37 years with GCB Bank culminating in the executive roles of Credit Advisor and Executive Head, Admin. She was most recently the Lead Consultant for the business process optimization of UniBank Ghana Ltd., a position she has held for over 2 years.
Her vast experience with GCB spans high level positions including Business Head of the Bank’s Credit Division, Manager of the Bank’s top tier Branches and Area Manager under the Bank’s zonal system. Ms. Nkansah retired as the Bank’s Credit Advisor, GCB’s top Credit position in January 2011. Helena has served on several Boards and Committees including NCR Ghana Ltd, GCB’s Executive Management and Credit Committees and as Council Member of the Ghana Institute of Bankers.
Helena holds an MBA from the Henley Management School (UK), she is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK), and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Ghana in 1975. She is also the first and only woman fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (Ghana).
In 2015, Ms. Nkansah was honoured by the Chartered Institute of Bankers for her lifetime contribution to the banking industry and also for her contribution towards the strategic growth of the institute.
Yaw O. Mante
Mr. Mante has worked in the financial services sector over the past 8 years in areas spanning operations, strategy, research, deal execution and valuation. He is currently a Valuations Manager at EY (UK), advising some of the leading global financial services firms.
Prior to this, he worked with the global M&A execution team responsible for the inorganic growth of Barclaycard, Barclays’ global cards business. Previously, he worked in Barclays’ Global Deals team where he advised the firm on the structure and pricing of joint ventures and commercial partnerships.
Yaw has a BA in Economics from Yale University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the CFA (UK) society.
Maame Asare-Konadu
Michelle Konadu has had significant experience in Financial Accounting, Telecommunications, Broadcasting and Media roles in the USA and West Africa. She started her career in Finance, initially working with Wells Fargo as a Finance Analyst in Treasury and Mortgage Compliance and later as Credit and Investment Analyst at Citigroup. Michelle subsequently joined Limited Brands LLC as a Senior Accountant working for various FMCG outlets.
She was most recently the Chief Executive Officer at Viasat 1, an independent Television Broadcast Station where she previously served as Chief Operating Officer. Michelle prior to her Viasat experience had a near 5 year spell, working with Millicom International Cellular; initially as a Product Manager for their prepaid voice products and subsequently as Category Manager – a role which made her directly responsible for over 90% of the total revenues generated by Millicom Ghana. Michelle’s portfolio included Prepaid and Postpaid voice, SMS and Devices.
Michelle holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Drake University in Ohio, USA and Master’s degree in Accounting from the same university. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
